But what we'd really like is something different and original. We already have four churches, lots of houses, a post office, a War memorial, lots of cars and a few people.
We really need:
• A train, a railway station and tracks
• A grocery shop
• We have a pub but could do with another!!
• Petrol station
• Cinema
• A fish and chip shop
• A hospital
• A fire station
• A bus or two
• More park benches and swing parks
Your ideas are very welcome too - please be as creative as possible!
Make sure you let us know as soon as possible what you'll be entering by completing our ENTRY FORM - click here.
UPCYCLER OF THE YEAR COMPETITION
Join the upcycling revolution; it's simple, it's fun but most of all it's helping save the planet!
Upcycling is a simple process of turning something old and unwanted into something fresh and new. But it's also a perfect way to reduce the damaging effects that disposable fashion has on the enviroment and on workers in the third world.
With this competition we're challenging you to raid your mum's wardrobe (or any other willing family member!) for a garment she no longer wears. Then apply any technique of your choice to customise the garment or create something completely new.
The entries will be judged and the winner announced on the opening day of Alexandra Palace, and thanks to TRAID the winner will be given a two-week internship at TRAID and a display in the window of their Camden shop!

We'll have an Upcycling Academy within the shows too, where a team of experts led by Barley Massey from Fabrications and supported by TRAID and the War on Want will provide ideas and inspiration on upcycling, as well as more information about the impact 'fast fashion' has on the environment and how we can help reduce waste and improve working conditions for workers in the third world.
