Quilt 2008 is not a generic name for the competitions - it's a specific competition aimed at top quilters (but don't let that put you off). To enter Quilt 2008 you must send images of your quilt and a specially selected jury will determine just whose work will be hung in the white wall gallery. Chosen artists will then send in their quilt and the ultimate winner of that category will be selected when the jury reconvenes to look at the real work - not the images.
All other categories are judged at the NEC on the day before the Festival opens.
Here's a hint!! Why not buy a ticket for the Gala Dinner and be part of the drama as the winners are celebrated and Quilt 2008 is announced. Click on Social Events and look out for The Gala Dinner.
